    "I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for 26 years and while I have always tried to stay active and maintain control of my diabetes, I was never heart-and-soul committed to diabetes management until last year when I joined a group called Triabetes (www.triabetes.org). In 2008, Triabetes convinced 12 type-1 diabetics to complete an Ironman Triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) to promote new standards in diabetes management. I think this will provide a great alternative to other replacement fluids, especially in individuals with specific health problems such as diabetes.     I would like to take this opportunity to express my enthusiastic support for the new beverage REVd. I am an orthodontist with 45 years experience. REVd contains Xylitol as a mild sweetener which inhibits the growth of Strep mutans that is generally accepted to be the bacterial component of tooth decay. Due to this, it might be a good drink to put in kids sippy cups as opposed to sugary fruit juices or standard soft drinks.

    My own fasting blood sugar is about 110 and diet is important to avoid real diabetes. I drink a lot of REVd; the taste is fresh and pleasant and quenches thirst well.
